Lenovo Vibe P1m Review
Lenovo has been manufacturing and marketing budget-oriented smartphone, and following the same old trend, it released another budget-friendly smartphone named Lenovo Vibe P1m on 2015, October. And yes, today we will be reviewing the same device of Lenovo.
The Lenovo Vibe P1m, as it lies in the group of mid-range smartphones, is totally made up of a plastic. However, the sides of the devices are made up of a metal framework. The rear panel of the device receives a textural finish which makes the device look stylish. However, the device lacks protection of gorilla glass in its forepart which is seen in Vibe K3 Note, Vibe K4 Note and so on.
The Lenovo Vibe P1m possesses an earpiece followed by a front facing camera, and sensors like proximity, gravitation and light on the top bezel. Moreover, the device features capacitive home button, recent app button and back button on the bottom bezel. And these capacitive touch keys are backlit supported. However, the lights of buttons are dim.
Moreover, the top part features a 3.5 mm earphone socket and the micro USB port. Similarly, we can notice that the Lenovo Vibe P1m features primary microphone and speaker grille on the bottom part. The device carries volume keys and power key on the right side, whereas, the left side possesses a power management button which is used to save battery. The device, further, features a main camera followed by a flashlight and secondary mic just below it.
Furthermore, the Lenovo Vibe P1m features 5.0 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with the 720 x 1280 pixels HD resolution and ~294 ppi pixels density. The screen produces vibrant and saturated color. The colors are accurate, white are perfect white and blacks are perfectly black. The viewing angles too are perfect. The device, further, features an ambient light sensor that automatically adjusts screen brightness in accordance with the environment.
Moreover, the Lenovo Vibe P1m runs Android 5.1 Lollipop. However, the OS is not upgradable to any new software. Further, the device is powered with Mediatek MT6735P chipset, clocked with Quad-Core 1.0 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and Mali-T720MP2 GPU. The Lenovo Vibe P1m features 16 GB of internal memory and 2 GB of RAM. Besides, the storage can later be expanded up to 32 GB using a microSD card.
Furthermore, the Lenovo Vibe P1m is equipped with 8 MP, f/2.2 aperture lens, autofocus rear facing camera assisted by a LED flashlight. The main camera comes various features like geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection and so on. The device, besides, carries 5 MP of front facing camera which captures nice self-portraits. The main camera also helps to capture good pictures in the daytime, however, the picture quality degrades in the lowlight. The main camera, further, shoots HD videos at 1280 x 720p@30fps.
The Lenovo Vibe P1m is stocked with Li-Ion 3900 mAh non-removable battery. And the main attraction of this device is the battery. The device is so good in the terms of backup. The battery can go up to more than two days with the single charge. Further, the device, unlike other mid-range smartphones, supports quick charging which can be noted down as an advantage. In addition, the Lenovo Vibe P1m is available in onyx black and pearl white colors.
