Oppo A57 Review
The Chinese companies are being active in manufacturing smartphones that are budget-friendly, and following this trend, Oppo too started manufacturing smartphones focusing on a quality front facing camera that were available in low price range. In 2016, December, Oppo released a smartphone named Oppo A57 and today we will review the same device.
The Oppo A57 looks alike to the Apple’s iPhone from both front and rear side and also can be said as the smaller version of Oppo F1s. The Oppo A57, just like other upper-mid range device, is made out of a metal. The device also receives 2.5D curved corning gorilla glass 4 on the front. Further, the rear panel and the glass are fixed in the metal frame. However, the top and bottom parts of the rear panel are made up of a plastic.
The Oppo A57 features an earpiece above the screen surrounded by front facing camera, sensors and a notification light on each side. Further, the device this time has featured a physical home button instead of a capacitive button which also works as a fingerprint sensor. The capacitive touch recent app and back buttons are placed around the home button.
Furthermore, we can see that the Oppo A57 possesses the micro USB port at the bottom followed by a primary mic and a 3.5 mm earphone at the right and a mono speaker grille at the left. The right hand side of the device includes the SIM cards and microSD card slot and a power button below it, whereas, the left hand comprises of volume alteration keys. The rear part of the device, besides, contains main camera and a LED flashlight at the top-left corner as of the iPhones’.
Moreover, the Oppo A57 is features 5.2 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with the 720 x 1280 pixels HD resolution and ~282 ppi pixels density. The screen produces vibrant, saturated and accurate colors. The texts too are sharp and the viewing angles too are perfect. Further, the device possesses a light sensor which makes the device user-convenient by adjusting the screen’s brightness automatically. However, the screen is not that much attractive as of the Samsung’s A5 2016 which too features 5.2 inches screen.
Besides, the Oppo A57 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and Color OS 3.0 user interface. Further, the device is functioned with Qualcomm MSM8940 Snapdragon 435 chipset, Quad-Core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and Adreno 505 GPU. Also, the device features 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory which can further be expanded to 128 GB using a microSD card.
Additionally, the Oppo A57 stocks 13 MP, f/2.2 aperture lens, phase detection autofocus main camera and a LED flashlight. The main camera acquires features like geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR and panorama. Further, the device, as it is famous for its front camera, carries 16 MP, f/2.0, 1.12 µm pixel size front facing camera. The rear camera is of average, however, the front camera is capable of capturing high quality self-portraits.
Further, the A57 is powered with Li-Po 2900 mAh non-removable battery. The device, however, is deprived of fast charging which can be noted as one of the disadvantage. Moreover, the device, though is deprived of quick charging, gets its battery charged little bit faster, and also gives a nice battery backup. Besides, the device is available in gold color.
