Pushpa Kamal Dahal Votes in Chitwan, Flies to Rukum East

Kathmandu — Nepali Communist Party coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal, also known as Prachanda, voted in Chitwan before traveling to his election constituency in Rukum East.

Dahal cast his ballot at a polling station in Chitwan on Tuesday morning. Shortly after voting, he departed for Rukum East by helicopter.

He is contesting the election from Rukum East as a candidate of the Nepal Communist Party.

Election officials said voting across the country was proceeding peacefully, with security personnel deployed at polling stations nationwide.
