Xiaomi Mi Max Review
Manufacturing and marketing attractive smartphones of normal price ranges in different parts of the world, Xiaomi has established itself as a successful smartphone company and is still giving continuity to its trend in order to stick in the same position. And today we will be reviewing the Mi Max, the big brother of Mi 4.
The Xiaomi Mi Max is completely made up of a metal. However, the top and bottom of the device are made up of a plastic. The device also receives 2.5D curved corning gorilla glass which protects the screen from being scratched.
The device features an earpiece, a front facing camera, and various sensors at the topmost. The device also features the capacitive home, recent app and back buttons at the bottom bezel. However, the capacitive keys are not backlit, which is visible in other smartphones of Xiaomi.
The Mi Max carries a 3.5 mm headphone socket, an IR sensor and secondary mic at the top part whereas, it carries the USB port, a microphone and a speaker grille at the bottom part. The main camera is visible on the top-left corner at the rear along with the LED flashlight. Moreover, the fingerprint sensor is placed at the center at its back side. The device, besides, acquires the power key, the volume alteration keys at the right and the hybrid SIM card slot at the left side.
Moreover, the Mi Max features larger 6.44 inches IPS LCD screen with 1080 x 1920 pixels full HD resolution and ~342 ppi pixels density. The screen produces vibrant color and the texts also are sharp and clear because of the big screen. The device also provides good viewing angles as it possesses 2.5D corning glass. The device, further, possesses an ambient light sensor which automatically adjusts brightness according to the environment.
The Xiaomi Mi Max is furnished with Android 6.0 Marshmallow and also features Xiaomi’s own MIUI 7. The device is operated with Qualcomm MSM8956 Snapdragon 650 chipset, Hexa-Core (4 x 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 and 2 x 1.8 GHz Cortex-A72) CPU, and Adreno 510 GPU. The device comes with 32 GB of ROM and 3 GB of RAM. Furthermore, the storage can further be expanded to 128 GB using a microSD card.
Moreover, the Mi Max sports 16 MP, f/2.0 aperture lens, phase detection autofocus and dual-tone LED flashlight main camera. The main camera comes with various features like geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, Real Time HDR, etc. The device also carries 5 MP and f/2.0 aperture lens front facing camera. Besides, the rear camera shoots videos at 2160p@30fps and front facing camera shoots videos at 1080p@30fps.
Further, the Mi Max is powered by strong 4850 mAh non-removable battery. The battery is good and can be used up to 1 to 2 days without any problem which can be seen other smartphones manufactured by Xiaomi. Besides, the device is available in three colors; gold, gray and silver.
