ZTE Axon Elite
Following the tradition of manufacturing smartphones, A Chinese mobile manufacturer, ZTE launched it’s another flagship smartphone, the ZTE Axon Elite on September, 2015. The Axon Elite looks a lot like to the ZTE Axon Mini, however, is slightly changed than the Axon. And today are reviewing the same device.
The ZTE Axon Elite receives the triangular grills on the top and bottom at the front which was also visible in the ZTE Axon. Further, the Axon Elite is completely made up of a metal. The rear panel and the sides of the device are made up of a metal. Moreover, the device also receives leather at the top and bottom of the rear panel. The device also receives curved gorilla glass at the front fixed in the metallic frame.
The ZTE Axon Elite possesses an earpiece at the metallic frame above the screen and bezel. Further, a front facing camera and sensors are placed above the screen. Similarly, the home button, recent app button and back button are placed below the screen. The microphone and a speaker grille can also be noticed in the metallic frame at the front.
Moreover, the Axon Elite acquires a 3.5 mm earphone port and a secondary microphone at the top, whereas, the bottom comprises of a micro USB port. The left hand side comprises of a volume alteration keys and SIM card tray, whereas, the right hand side acquires a power key. Moreover, the back part carries dual camera, dual tone LED flashlight and a fingerprint sensor.
Besides, the ZTE Axon Elite comes with 5.5 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen featuring full HD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels having ~401 ppi pixels density. The screen produces vibrant color, deeper black. The viewing angles are also good because of the curved glass and IPS screen. Further, the device, as it features light sensor, automatically brightens up screen when taken out under a bright lightning. However, the colors are not that much bright and saturated as of the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) and other devices which features S AMOLED screen.
The ZTE Axon Elite, further, is stocked with Android 5.0 Lollipop, nevertheless, is not upgradable to any other OS released by the Android. The device, besides, is boasted with Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 chipset, Octa-Core (4 x 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 and 4 x 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53) CPU and Adreno 430 GPU. Also, the device features 32 GB of internal memory and 3 GB of RAM. Also, the storage can be expanded up to 128 GB using a microSD card.
Additionally, the ZTE Axon Elite equips dual 13 MP + 2 MP, autofocus main facing camera and dual tone LED flashlight. The primary camera also comes with features like geo-tagging, touch focus, dace detection, HDR, panorama, and so on. Apart from it, the device carries 8 MP of front facing camera. Also, the rear camera helps users to shoot videos at 2160p@30fps, 10809@30fps and slow motion video at 720p@120fps.
In addition, the ZTE Axon Elite is powered with 3000 mAh non-removable battery. Also, the device supports the fast charging (Quick Charge 2.0). The battery backup of the device is good and can be used throughout a day in average usage. The Axon Elite, further, is available in ion gold color.
