Apple iPhone 6 Review

Today we will review a smartphone named iPhone 6 which was manufactured by Apple Inc., a well-known multinational company which manufactures flagship smartphones. And giving continuity to the same trend Apple released it’s another flagship smartphone, the Apple iPhone 6 along with the iPhone 6 Plus on September, 2014. And this device is the predecessor of the Apple iPhone 6s.

The iPhone 6 is completely made out a metal body and is thin and bigger than its successor the iPhone 6s. The device too features the protection of Ion-strengthened glass on the front and oleophabic coating on the rear panel. However, we can notice that the rear panel features FCC marking which is invisible in the 6s.

The iPhone 6 replaces the old design of the front part of old iPhones. The device features an earpiece above the screen followed by front facing camera at the left and sensors above it. However, just like other iPhones, this device too lacks notification LED light. Further, the device features a physical home button below the screen which also works as a fingerprint sensor and responses fast the 5s’s fingerprint sensor.

The bottom of the iPhone 6 possesses a 2.0, reversible connector USB charging port followed by a primary microphone, a speaker grill and a 3.5 mm earphone port. The device replaced the trend of featuring power button at the top by placing it on the right hand side. Likewise, the left hand side of the device features volume adjusting keys and silent key. The device, further, features a rear facing camera, a dual tone LED flashlight and a secondary mic.

Moreover, the iPhone 6 comes with 4.7 inches LED-backlit IPS LCD display featuring resolution of 750 x 1334 pixels (~326 ppi pixel density) resolution. The screen is bright enough to be used under the sunlight, however, it is not bright enough as of the iPhone 6s. The color production of the screen is vibrant and saturated. The viewing angles are also good. Nevertheless, the device is deprived of 3D touch display.

Furthermore, the Apple iPhone 6 runs iOS 8.0 and is upgradable to iOS 10.3.2. Besides, the device is powered with Apple A8 Fusion chipset, Dual-Core 1.4 GHz Typhoon (ARM v8-based) CPU and PowerVR GX6450 (quad-core graphics). Further, the iPhone 6 is available in 16/32/64/128 GB ROM and 1 GB RAM DDR3.

The iPhone 6 equips 8 MP, f/2.2 aperture lens, 29 mm, phase detection autofocus, main camera which is supported by a dual tone LED flashlight. The main camera besides comes with different features like 1/3” sensor size, 1.5µm pixel size, geo-tagging, touch focus, etc. The rear camera helps users to take perfect shots in the daylight, and the lowlight photography is acceptable. Further, the main camera helps to shoot videos at 1080p@60fps and 720p@240fps. However, its successor the iPhone 6s features 12 MP camera which is capable of shooting 4K videos as well.

Further, the device is equipped with 1.2 MP, f/2.2, 31 mm front facing camera and also possesses various features that help users to take perfect self-portraits. Besides, the screen also works as flashlight that makes the selfies better even at night. Further, the main camera too shoots HD videos at 720p@30fps.

Besides, the iPhone 6 is stocked with Li-Ion 1810 mAh users’ non-removable battery. However, the device too is deprived of fast charging functionality which can be noticed in many iPhones launched in the market. The device, anyway, is packed with strong battery which is capable of giving backup for more than a day with the single charge. Additionally, the iPhone 6 comes in three colors; space gray, silver and gold.
