Samsung Galaxy J Max Review
Today we will be gaining some idea about a tablet known as the Samsung Galaxy J Max on 2016, August in different parts of the world along with the Samsung Galaxy J2 2016. Like other devices manufactured by Samsung using an Android OS, the Samsung Galaxy J Max too is an Android phablet that was launched by adding the features that were lacked in other old phablets released by Samsung Electronics.
The Samsung Galaxy J Max is made up of metal and plastic body. The device lacks the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass from both sides. Just like other smartphones and tablets manufactured by Samsung, Samsung Galaxy J Max possesses the same outline. The device features an earpiece on the top on its front part along with front facing camera. The home button can be seen below the screen along with recent app button and back button on each side. The home button, however, does not work as a fingerprint sensor. Besides, the Samsung Galaxy J Max’s recent app and back buttons has not been supported backlit functionality which can be seen in many devices of Samsung like Galaxy J2 (2016), Galaxy On7 Pro, etc. Furthermore, the device is not reinforced by notification LED light.
The Samsung Galaxy J Max features a power button on the right side of its body. The volume alteration keys can also be seen on the right side of the device’s body. Furthermore, a mic has been placed at the bottom of the device. The USB Type-B port and a 3.5 mm headphone socket have been placed on the top of its body. The Samsung Galaxy J Max possesses main facing camera and LED flashlight at the rear part of its body. The SIM cards slots and MicroSD card slot have been featured at the right part of the device. However, the active noise cancellation mic cannot be seen in the device.
Talking about the display, the Samsung Galaxy J Max has been furnished by 7.0 inches TFT capacitive touchscreen having 800 x 1280 pixels ~216 ppi pixel density. The device has got good display screen, however, viewing angles are not so attractive, and the display doesn’t provides vibrant color output. The Samsung Galaxy J Max, just like Samsung’s other normal devices, lacks ambient light sensor, which means the users should manually adjust the brightness to use their device in intense lights. Furthermore, the device also Corning Gorilla Glass that protects the screen from scratches. The device also lacks the feature of display mode. However, the device has got an Outdoor mode option that manages the brightness of the display of the screen or until the screen turns off.
The Samsung Galaxy J Max has been featured with Android 5.1 Lollipop. Furthermore, the Samsung Galaxy J Max features Spreadtrum SC8830 chipset, Quad-Core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU. Coming to the graphic processor, the device comes with Mali-400MP2 GPU. The phone has been furnished with 8 GB of internal memory Furthermore, the device features microSD card slot which means the memory can be expanded up to 200 GB for more space. Besides, the device comes with 1.5 GB of RAM.
Coming to the camera, the Samsung Galaxy J Max has been equipped with 8 MP, f/1.9 aperture lens, autofocus rear camera. The device comes with single tone LED flashlight. The main camera comes with different features like face detection, geo-tagging, touch focus and so on. The camera may capture quality photos during daytime. Talking about front camera, the device has been furnished with 2 MP, f/2.2aperture lens front facing camera. The rear camera also helps to capture the video at 720p@30fps.
Moreover, the device comes with Li-Ion 4000 mAh non-removable battery. The Samsung Galaxy J Max, however, lacks adaptive fast charging functionality and this function cannot be seen in most of the tablets too. The battery, however, is good and gives nice backup. The device is available in black and gold color.
