Coolpad Cool1 Dual Review
Today we will be reviewing an Android smartphone manufactured by Coolpad and LeEco known as the Coolpad Cool1 Dual. Coolpad has been manufacturing and marketing smartphones that can be purchased even by middle income group, and following the trend, combining up with LeEco, Coolpad released a smartphone, the Cool1 Dual on 2016, August, a budget smartphone that featured dual main camera.
The Coolpad Cool1 Dual, just like other high-end smartphones is made out of a metal. Further, the device also features 2.5D curved corning gorilla glass at the front which raises the standard of the device. The sides too of the device are made out of a metal. The display of the screen too is big having less bezel on both sides.
The Coolpad Cool1 Dual features an earpiece above the screen along with by a front facing camera on the right and sensors on the left. Besides, the capacitive touch home, recent app and back buttons are placed below the screen. And this time we can see that these capacitive keys are supported by backlit which was missed in many devices of Coolpad like Note 3s, and many more.
Moreover, the Cool1 Dual features the 3.5 mm earphone port and an IR sensor at the top of the device. The device, besides, features the micro USB port type-C, a speaker grille and a primary microphone at the bottom. The volume alteration keys and a power button are placed on the right hand sides, similarly, the left side comprises of SIM card slot. The rear part of the device features a secondary mic, dual rear facing camera, a dual tone LED flashlight and fingerprint sensor.
Furthermore, the Coolpad Cool1 Dual features 5.5 inches IPS LCD screen having the 1080 x 1920 pixels full HD resolution. The screen produces vibrant, saturated and accurate colors. The device also provides good viewing angles. Also, the device features light sensor which automatically adjusts screen’s brightness in accordance with the environment.
The Coolpad Cool1 Dual is operated with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The device, besides, is furnished with Qualcomm MSM8976 Snapdragon 652 chipset, Octa-Core (4 x 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53 4 x 1.8 GHz Cortex-A72) CPU, and Adreno 510 GPU. Furthermore, the device is stocked with 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory. However, the device is deprived of microSD card slot which can be pointed out as a disadvantage.
Besides, the Coolpad Cool1 Dual is furnished with dual 13 MP, f/2.0 aperture lens, autofocus main camera. The main camera also comes with various features like geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama and so on. The device, further, features 8 MP, f2.2 aperture lens, 1.4µm pixel size front facing camera. The main camera and front camera do a good job in under well lighted environment. However, the image quality degrades in the lowlight. And the main camera also helps to shoot 4K videos at 3840 x 2160p@30fps.
Additionally, the Coolpad Cool1 Dual has been powered with Li-Ion 4060 mAh users’ non-removable battery. Moreover, the device is supported by fast charging functionality which was not visible in Coolpad Mega 3. Further, the device possesses good battery that can give backup for more than one day with the single charge. Also, the device is available in gold, silver and rose gold colors.
