Coolpad Note 3s Review
Coolpad has been making and selling smartphones that suits the pocket of people from both low and midrange income, and giving continuity to this trend, Coolpad released another budget oriented high-end device known as Coolpad Note 3s on December, 2016. And today we will be reviewing the same device.
The Coolpad Note 3s, unlike other device of Coolpad, is made out of a glass and metal. The device features a glass rear panel which is slightly curved on all the sides which makes the device easy to hold. Also, the device’s front part receives the protection of 2.5D curved glass. And, the overall glasses of front and rear is combined in the metal frame.
The Coolpad Note 3s features an earpiece above the screen along with by a front facing camera on the left and sensors on the right. Besides, the capacitive touch home, recent app and back buttons are placed below the screen. However, these capacitive keys are deprived of backlit which was later seen in the Coolpad Cool1 Dual.
Moreover, the 3.5 mm earphone port and SIM cards slot is featured at the top of the device. The device, besides, features the micro USB port and a primary microphone at the bottom. The volume alteration keys and a power button are placed on left hand and right hand sides respectively. The rear facing camera, a flashlight and a fingerprint sensor is featured at the rear of the device. Also, the device features the speaker grille at the bottom rear.
Furthermore, the Coolpad Note 3s is built with 5.5 inches IPS LCD screen. Unluckily, this device too features 720 x 1280 pixels HD resolution with ~267 ppi pixel density instead of full HD resolution. Despites of normal HD resolution, the color production of the screen is vibrant and accurate. The device also provides good viewing angle.
The Coolpad Note 3s runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The device, besides, is furnished with Qualcomm MSM8929 Snapdragon 415 chipset, Octa-Core (4 x 1.3 GHz Cortex-A53 4 x 1.0 GHz Cortex-A53) CPU, and Adreno 405 GPU. Furthermore, the device comes with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory which can further be expanded to 32 GB using a microSD card.
Besides, the Coolpad Note 3s is stocked with 13 MP, f/2.2 aperture lens, autofocus main camera. The main camera also comes with various features like geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama and so on. The device, further, features 5 MP of front facing camera. The main camera and front camera do a good job in under well lighted environment. However, the image quality degrades in the lowlight.
Additionally, the Coolpad Note 3s has been equipped with Li-Ion 2500 mAh users’ non-removable battery. Nevertheless, this device lacks fast charging which can be noticed in many devices like Coolpad Mega 3 and so on. Anyway, the battery, in terms of backup, is good and can be used for more than one day with the single charge. The device, further, is available in gold and white colors.
