Its Entertainment Review and Box Office Collection
“Its Entertainment” is a comic movie, which stars the super hit actor Akshay Kumar, who has come back, fresh from the hit movie “Holiday: A Soldier is Never Off Duty”. Besides Akshay, the movie stars Tamannaah Bhatia, Krishna, and Johnny Lever, Sonu Sood and Prakash Raj, and of course Junior, the Golden Retreiver called Entertainment in the film. The movie has been directed by Sajid-Farhad duo, who are experienced in the comedy genre, having written comedy movies like Golmaal Returns, Golmaal 3, Housefull 2 and Bol Bachchan. The music of the movie has been given by Sachin-Jigar.
The Plot
The story of the movie revolves around Akhil (Akshay Kumar), a struggler and illegitimate son of a millionaire, who goes to Bangkok to claim the property worth Rs 3000 crore of his dead father, but to his dismay, his finds out that everything has been bequeathed to his pet dog, Entertainment. He wants to get rid of the dog with the advice of his friend Jugnu (Krishna), but he later becomes his savior when he finds the two crooks Karan and Arjun (Sonu Sood and Prakash Raj) are also set out to kill entertainment and claim all the wealth. Tamannaah plays the role of Sakshi, the love interest of Akhil, while Mithun Chakraborty plays her father, who wants his daughter to marry a rich guy. Johnny Lever plays Habibullah, the manager of the dead millionaire is the real master of comedy in the movie.
The Performances
As always, Akshay is the true entertainer, while Johnny does a great job making you laugh through the movie. Tamannaah has managed her role reasonably well, enacting well whatever bits are given to her in the movie. However, others have been mediocre. Same is the case with the music of the movie, with the only exception being the chart busting song “Veer di Wedding” by Mika Singh. The chief drawback of the movie is its ridiculous story line, but the wacky jokes and comic one liners make it fully entertaining for the masses. The man v/s dog battle for inheritance is a new idea, but has not been implemented well by the debutante directors Sajid-Farhad. This makes the movie anything but entertaining in parts. The film lacks logic, though it has plenty of cynical jokes in store for the audience. The first half has abundant of jokes, but the second half seems a bit dragged, leading to an ending which seems a bit abrupt.
Box Office Collections
